Kirsten & Doug's Engagement Session: Sugar Sheds, Greenock

It's been a while since I did a shoot down at the Sugar Sheds, but my oh my, what a building. So many gorgeous colours and textures to shoot against, love it love it love it! And believe it or not, the weather was absolutely horrendous with heavy rain and wild winds sweeping through. Kirsten and Doug were freezing but braved the elements regardless.

Scotland Engagement Session: Portencross

We never got a clear view across to the Isle of Arran, but we did get some beautiful light in between heavy drizzle showers! Plus, Jess and Johnny brought along their gorgeous French bulldogs Cooper and Blue! What's not to like?!

You can watch a slideshow of their entire engagement session below including lots more images.

Glasgow Engagement Session: The Barrowlands

The very best thing about an engagement session is walking around, looking, seeing, discovering... Laura and Dave love The Barrowlands as they've been to loads of gigs there. So what better place than to photograph them in their favourite place.

2016: A year of wedding photography in Scotland

2016 has, quite simply, been off the scale. I spent a good few hours today going through each and every wedding I've photographed this year and I became emotionally involved all over again. I witnessed so much love and laughter and oh so many friendships. I heard beautiful stories about the lives of people I barely knew. I laughed and I cried many times. My heart overwhelmed with emotion. And best of all, I get to stand there and capture those very moments. Because I'm not just a photographer, I'm a human being and it's impossible for your fabulous days not to affect me.

I have been incredibly lucky to have joined so many of you at some of the most beautiful places across Scotland including Kinkell Byre, Kirknewton Stables, Glenfinnan House Hotel, Killearn Village Hall, Ardoch, Aberdour Castle, Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, Pollokshields Burgh Hall, Solsgirth House, Doune Castle and many more.

Thank you so much to all my brides and grooms for letting me into your lives to capture your amazing days, for believing in me and for giving me so much to capture to enable me to tell your stories.

I give you a glimpse of what 2016 looked like from where I was standing.

Scotland Wedding, Glasgow Botanic Gardens

Christine and Ryan were one of my shyest couples this year but have proved just how important it was to have an engagement shoot prior to their wedding. They were absolutely adorable on their wedding day and very relaxed meaning they enjoyed the time we had together. And Glasgow Botanic Gardens didn't disappoint. In what was supposed to be a day full of heavy rain, somehow we managed a mostly dry day with amazing light. Lots of greens and oranges in this wedding with Christine and Ryan in and amongst it all.

Here is a lovely sneak peek from their wedding day for you all to enjoy.
