Their engagement session

Before every wedding I like to do an engagement session. It's a great way to get to know a couple as well as it being a practice run through. Great fun, very relaxed and usually takes place somewhere where the couple love to spend time together.

In this case, we headed to Portencross where we explored the old pier, the castle and the surrounding rocks. Jess and Johnny brought along their gorgeous dogs Cooper and Blu too and they didn't disappoint. Impeccably behaved which resulted in a perfect family photo!

Believe it or not, the wind and the drizzle was insane but we managed to dodge what we could and the resulting light was amazing. Below is a little slideshow containing images from the shoot.

The Wedding

We had so much fun on Jess and Johnny's wedding day which was held at Cameron House Hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond. The weather was touch and go and the rain came and went, but it certainly didn't dampen the day.

It was all extremely relaxed during bridal preparations as Jess and her bridesmaids lapped up all the excitement. Then the flower girls appeared and it all began to feel real. The best moment by far was watching Jess' dad walk into the room and see his daughter wearing her wedding dress. There were lots of tears and it was such a lovely moment to capture.

The ceremony room was dressed with the most amazing flowers with the dogs Cooper and Blu performing their ring bearer duties impeccably. The weather played ball and we managed to go and explore the beautiful grounds among the trees and along the beach.

We almost, but not quite, caught the sun setting. However, we were blessed with a beautiful red sky which made for a dramatic backdrop for Jess and Johnny as we ventured out into the evening light.

So a big thank you Jess and Johnny for having me capture your beautiful wedding day, it was the most amazing privilege to have been a part of it.
